Easter Blooms

We celebrated Easter at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, which is starting to look like spring despite the tenacious winter weather. It has been wet, windy and in the low forties all week. Today was clear and sunny . . . but still cold. The magnolia trees are the first to bloom every year at the Garden. They don't look much like the tall, leafy magnolias down south. Susannah slept most of the time, but woke up in time to check out the cherry blossoms.

Back at home, she and Dad rocked out.

Our favorite little bunny.

As far as medical news goes, May 4 is the tentative date for her second surgery. (Her ureters will be reattached to her bladder.) The doctor said he probably won't operate that day if she has a UTI, so all we can do is cross our fingers and hope that it doesn't get dragged out.

Til next time....

Blossoms! Chicago seems to be a little late to the spring party. Trees and bushes are still bare but the temp is creeping up! There's hope. And this little bunny just made my day. My fingers are crossed for you! xoL

Suse-bunny. I am sending you the tenderest fresh baby lettuce from my Virginia garden. Bring those ears, that good-looking toothbrush, and your those two people who take such loving good care of you when you come to visit. We're thinking of you and your Mom and Dad over the coming weeks, and sending you all lots of love
